What makes Dub Dis unique is their rich tapestry of creative expression that draws its inspiration from Jamaica's diverse ethnic influences. Featuring a blend of reggae, ska, calypso, mento, and soca, Dub Dis encompasses a fresh sound that is artistically entertaining.
Dub Dis has done extensive work as a touring crew. Currently, they are the backup band for international reggae star Bunny Rugs of Third World, as he promotes his solo album. Steel pan Latin/Caribbean jazz combo, The Pantastic 4, has performed for a variety of audiences. Mayor Daley at The Taste of Chicago Press Preview, WGN news national broadcast at noon, U.S. Cellular Field, and various private parties.
They perform traditional Calypsos (music native to Trinidad where steel pans were invented), Latin/Caribbean jazz standards, and more contemporary Latin/Caribbean compositions by Scott Johnson who along with Terry Peeples founded the band in 2002.

Don Yute
Don Yute describes his unique Dee Jay style as "Steady Hip Hop base combined with a seductive Dancehall ridim"..... what he calls "Word Hop"! When it comes to performing, he is driven and focused - he is definitely a hardcore artist. He is not one to limit himself and is known to "ride the ridim" on any music he hears with feeling, passion and appealing originality.
Top flight Reggae producers who have worked with Don Yute include, Donovan Germaine (Buju Banton, Penthouse/Polygram) Mikey Bennet ("Housecall" Shabba Ranks & Maxi Priest), Dave Kelly (Maxi Priest, Terror Fabulous) Bobby Digital (Patra, Shabba Ranks) and Steele & Cleevie (Billy Ocean, Carron Wheeler). Don Yute has numerous self-produced bit tracks on his own label "Golden Child" alongside his productions of other artists such as Mad Cobra, Beenie Man and Spragga Benz.
